How do I pay for my Training ?
Once you have booked your training with us a deposit is required with your final balance due on your first day of trainning
Payment can be made via:
Credit or Debit card over the phone
Cash, EFTPOS or credit card at our office
Direct deposit or internet transfer to our bank account – please include your invoice number as a reference
Payments of your deposit, and or full payment constitutes your agreement to abide by these terms and conditions
Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel at any time as long as it is no later than 7 days prior to your training commencing. After this time the following conditions will apply:
Less than 7 days notice – 100% of Deposit
What do I need on the day?
USI number – You must have a USI (Unique Student Identification) number to complete any Training in Australia, to create a USI number click thie link below
Your drivers licence – this must be a current Western Australian Drivers Licence
– please wear enclosed shoes with no restriction around the ankle (no thongs)
Eyetests – Eyetests are mandatory at CMT, regardless if you have had an eyetest at the Department of Transport. If you are required to wear visual aids for driving (contacts or glasses) you must wear them when training. If you are having any difficulties with your vision, please have your eyes tested at least 3 weeks prior to your training this will ensure any visual aids you require will be available to you when you attend your training.
Meals: Please make sure you have a good breakfast as this helps with concentration and learning abilities during your training. A Lunch van visits the premise, although if you have special dietary needs please bring this with you. A selection of tea, coffee is provided.
Where will my training take place?
Unless organised otherwise, all training commences from our premise in Picton (10 Coleman Turn, Picton) for mobile plant, forklift and heavy vehicles. Heavy vehicle training (HR, HC and MC) will be conducted face to face, one-on-one with a skilled and qualified trainer. Driving routes will incorporate a variety of road types to ensure adequate exposure to a range of driving scenarios. Forklift and mobile plant courses are conducted in face to face in small groups with a qualified trainer and assessor. Mobile plant and forklift training will include a mixture of theory and practical activities that are representative of current industry practices.

Booking Heavy Vehicle Courses
Heavy Vehicle courses are offered face-to-face, with a one-to-one student ratio. This means we can provide flexibility in how your training is scheduled. To find out more about how we can assist you in meeting your learning objectives please contact one of our friendly staff.
Please note, a learners permit is not required to undertake training and assessment with CMT Transport Trainers.
When making a booking we require the details from your drivers licence and a 50% deposit to secure the booking.
During your Assessment you will be assessed on your knowledge of the current road rules. Our instructors will teach you how to drive a heavy vehicle, but it is up to YOU to know the road rules. You can obtain a copy of the rules from the DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT Booklet “Drive Safe” from your nearest Licensing Dept or can be downloaded from www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing
Unique Student Identifier
All students undertaking nationally recognized training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). For more information or to create a USI is available from www.usi.gov.au
